Intel Arrow Lake Refresh series is coming!

Ana sayfa / News

Intel is changing its desktop processor plans. The previously claimed canceled Arrow Lake Refresh series will be included in the company’s Core Ultra 200 family. The renewed processors will only cover the K series upper segment models and will be released before the end of 2025.

Leaks regarding the Arrow Lake Refresh processors; Rather than a big leap in performance, they point to higher clock speeds and some improvements on the NPU (Neural Processing Unit) side for artificial intelligence tasks. However, no increase in the number of cores is expected.

The fact that the new series is included in the Core Ultra 200 family also concerns the LGA-1851 socket structure that Intel uses in desktop platforms. LGA-1851 was first introduced with Arrow Lake-S processors.

According to current information, this socket type will only be used in two generations: Core Ultra 200 and its renewed version, ARL-R. This shows that the socket’s lifespan is quite short. Another detail that caught the eye in the leaks was the timing.

It is stated that the ARL-R series will come right before Intel’s Panther Lake-based Core Ultra 300 series, which is expected to be released by the end of 2025. The next generation will switch to the new generation LGA-1954 socket.

Although Intel has not yet announced an official release date, ARL-R processors are expected to take their place on shelves before the end of 2025. So what do you think about this? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
